NEW DELHI -- The first G20 Sherpa meeting under India's presidency began Sunday evening in the western state of Rajasthan, officials said.

The meeting started in Udaipur, about 396 km southwest of Jaipur, the capital city of Rajasthan.

"The first Sherpa meeting of India's G20 presidency, chaired by G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant commenced today in Udaipur," an official said. "The meeting kick started at 5:00 p.m. (local time) this evening with a panel discussion on accelerating implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)." (India-G20-Sherpa Meeting)

KUALA LUMPUR -- Malaysia will work towards ensuring that trade remains a key growth driver as the Southeast Asian country seeks to boost its economic performance, a Malaysian official said here on Sunday.

Besides a focus on trade, moves will be made to increase investor confidence and ensure the implementation of international trade agreements to be of real value and advantage to participants in the Malaysian supply chain, particularly the micro, small and medium enterprises, International Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said in a statement. ISLAMABAD -- At least six coal miners were killed after getting trapped due to a gas explosion inside a coal mine in Harnai district of Pakistan's southwestern Balochistan province, officials told media.

According to the reports, six miners were working inside the Shahrag coal mine of the district Saturday when an explosion occurred in the mine which led to the collapse of a portion of it. (Pakistan-Miners)

DHAKA -- Bangladesh exported goods worth over 5 billion U.S. dollars in November, the highest ever in a month, as demand for ready-made garment items continued to soar, according to the latest official data.

The Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) data showed Bangladesh exported goods worth 5,092.56 million U.S. dollars in November, which was 26.01 percent higher than the same month a year ago. (Bangladesh-Exports)
