TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Nov. 19 ( PIA ) - A cum laude graduate of the University of the Philippines Diliman who is a proud Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) scholar landed 9th place in the recently concluded Geology Board exam.
, a resident of barangay Cataggaman Nuevo in this city is an alumna of the University of Saint Louis from Kindergarten to High School where she both graduated Valedictorian.
Her father is an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) in Singapore working as civil engineer.
"Ang tagumpay na ito ay hindi ko makakamit kung wala ang mga tao at institusyon na gumabay sa akin hindi lamang ngayong kolehiyo ngunit mula pa noong ako'y nasa elementarya at hayskul," she said when she posted her graduation picture in facebook.
"Taos-puso akong nagpapasalamat sa lahat ng naging bahagi ng aking paglalakbay: sa mga guro, kaibigan, barkada, batchmates, insti, lab, at sa aking pamilya. Lahat kayo ay importanteng bahagi ng buhay ko," she added.
For her part, Eloisa, her mother said she's very proud of the latest achivement of her daughter.
"Bilang nanay, very proud ako because she worked really hard not to be a topnotcher but to pass the exam .Yung pagiging topnotcher niya ay bonus na lang," her mother added.
Her mother revealed that during her daughter's review, Jamie Mary Loise went to Singapore to present their group's research.
At present, Jamie Mary Loise is undergoing the meteorologist training administered by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
"Housewife lang po ako and sobrang happy ko na po na yung mga anak ko ang nagtutuloy ng mga pangarap ko," her mother added. (MDCT/PIA-2)
