BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya, June 17 (PIA)- Officials and members of the Free and Accepted Masons of the Philippines (F & AMP) - Salinas Lodge 163 recently gave school supplies to indigent schoolers of barangay Manamtam here.
Dan August Oro, Worshipful Master of Salinas Masonic Lodge 163, said the assistance is part of the outreach program of the organization to poor schoolers in the municipality.
"By providing these school supplies, the indigent schoolers will be more inspired to learn since it will boost their morale. We are grateful for the assistance of our brethren," he said.
The free school supplies benefited at least 110 schoolers of Manamtam Elementary School and Manamtam Day Care Center.
The distributed supplies were school bags, two pencils, two sets of notebooks, one piece of eraser and one bottle of ritemed vitamin C to each school children.
Oro added that the yearly outreach program dubbed "Operation Balik Paaralan" seeks to help poor school children and their parents in coping up with the expensive cost of school supplies.
He further said that other outreach activities will also be done in other barangays to help the poor sectors of the community. (ALM/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
