BA staff expected to strike at Christmas

British Airways cabin crew will vote this week on whether to go on strike at Christmas.
British Airways cabin crew will vote this week on whether to go on strike at Christmas.

the vote will come at the same time as BA presents an expected £250 million pre-tax loss.

The harsh trading conditions of the past year
will ensure the largest ever interim loss for the airline.

It is feared that full-year losses will be greater than last year’s record £401 million shortfall.

The battle between BA and cabin crew is expected to escalate, with an injunction hanging over the head of BA boss, Willie Walsh, on the proposed sacking of 1,300 personnel and new working conditions for cabin crew.

Last week Unite, the union that represents BA cabin crew, said it would hold a strike ballot during a mass meeting.

Bad week expected for British Airways

Discretion is the better part of Valor !!

The Union is out of touch with reality. The
Airline industry is in a great recission. All
airlines are in a retrench to survive. BA has
to retrench to Survive. The Union is throwing
petrol on the fire. This is BAD JUDGEMENT by the
Union. BA is Facing BANKRUPTCY. WAKE UP UNION !!

WOULD YOU TAKE A 40% PAY CUT??

Cut back on the infrastructure not the front line, that earns you the money

Leadership lacking

The management at BA left little choice for the employees. The employees are bearing all the burden of this
