Leading Israeli newspaper lauds George Bush

Bangladesh News.Net
Friday 2nd January, 2009

One of Israeli's leading newspapers says only one world leader has shown genuine understanding of Israel's dilemma.

The Jerusalem Post says George W. Bush's understanding has been steadfast during Israel's confrontation with Hamas.

The newspaper said Bush's approach contrasted with that of British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who initially said he understood Israel's stance, but then allowed the Foreign Office to join with Europe in calling for an immediate ceasefire.

"In contrast, from Texas, where the president has been marking the holidays, his spokesman Gordon Johndroe placed the onus for the hostilities where it belongs: "Hamas's continued rocket attacks into Israel must cease if the violence is to stop," he said. "The administration was satisfied, Johndroe added, that the Israeli army was doing everything possible to avoid civilian casualties," said The Jerusalem Post editorial.

"Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice also blamed Hamas: "We strongly condemn the repeated rocket and mortar attacks against Israel and hold Hamas responsible for breaking the cease-fire and for the renewal of violence there."

"As the week progressed, however, a certain slippage in Rice's rhetoric was discernible," said the Post. "The ceasefire must be restored immediately and fully respected," she said.

The Israeli newspaper's view was that a ceasefire would be premature, and would set the stage for more violence later.

The Jerusalem Post went on to say in its editorial, "This newspaper expresses its appreciation to President Bush for his goodwill, and for the diplomatic backing of his administration. We do not take this support for granted."

"In just 18 days," the article continued, "Barack Obama will be sworn in as America's president. We are reasonably confident that the incoming administration will cut Hamas no more slack than the outgoing one."

Leading Israeli newspaper lauds George Bush

For eight years US has NOT been attacked by the Islamists terrorists
since 9/11. That shows that outgoing Bush administration has done a very good job in securing peace & stability.Although the financial crisis is not too good for the whole world. Not because of George Bush & Co. but because of greed of most CEOs,bank managers etc.throughout entire global financial institutions.

The chosen people of a non-existent God...

It never ceases to amaze me, how people believe in God, and believe their religion to be the absolute truth, when there are blindingly obvious inconsistencies and often outright falsities in their beliefs. And not only that, but there are numerous other religions that have an equal standing in terms of truth. Yet people still regard their beliefs as “the truth”, blindly following their faith without question, overlooking all it’s inconsistencies. Although I have no problem with that, it is when people use their religion to say that Israelis are “the chosen people of God”, which is to imply that they can do whatever the hell they want, that is when it becomes unacceptable. Because there is no God, at least not one that we know of (yes, I do accept the fact that we don’t know everything). And I don’t understand why people choose to overlook the inconsistencies and blindly follow their religion without question.

No one should stand with Israel

Yes no dignified nation should support Israel in its stealing policies, killing innocents, abusing, and creating world instability.

I believe that the time has come that the state of Israel should be isolated from all civilized societies that stand for law and order, respect human rights, as well as the dignity of human lives,

Bush: Hamas 'instigated' crisis
WASHINGTON, Jan. 3,`08 (UPI) — President George W. Bush said Friday Hamas “instigated” the violence in Gaza that has resulted in more than 400 deaths in the past week.

]
In his weekly radio address — released in advance of its scheduled Saturday broadcast — the president said he has been monitoring the situation with his national security team and has been in contact with leaders throughout the region. He said Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice “is actively engaged in diplomacy” following the outbreak of fighting between Israel and Hamas — which took control of Gaza in 2007 from Fatah, the governing party in the Palestinian Authority.

“This recent outburst of violence was instigated by Hamas — a Palestinian terrorist group supported by Iran and Syria that calls for Israel’s destruction," Bush said. The president said the current round of fighting in the area began when Hamas announced the end of a cease-fire brokered by Egypt and “soon unleashed a barrage of rockets and mortars that deliberately targeted innocent Israelis — an act of terror that is opposed by the legitimate leader of the Palestinian people, President Abbas."

Israeli airstrikes aimed at shutting down the rocket attacks have killed at least 400 people in Gaza, officials have said. “The United States is deeply concerned about the humanitarian situation facing the Palestinian people," Bush said Saturday. “In addition to reducing humanitarian suffering, all nations must work toward a lasting end to the violence in the Holy Land, and a return to the path of peace," he said. “The United States is leading diplomatic efforts to achieve a meaningful ceasefire that is fully respected."

Comments against Israel are like bubbles in the air

Why so much hatred on Israel? To those who have sympathy or support to the chosen people of God, may you continue to present your views boldly and gently, forgiving those who use profane language against us (followers of Christ Jesus) and against Israel. God proclaimed in His Word: “I will make you [Israel] a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curse you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed." (Genesis 12:2-3). The Word of God is living and active!

Sign of the times

Since the beggining of time there have been haters of God and those who know in thier heart that he reigns supreme.
The anger comes from lack of knowledge about the truth. When JESUS comes back to gather his own'
every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that he (JESUS) is lord.
This coming of the lord will not be plesant for those who disregard who he is.
What a wonderful feeling to have been born to know about JESUS and his grace.
I cant apologize to those that this offends because the truth is' there is no heaven without GOD and his son JESUS.
There is no other way to heaven except you go through the lord JESUS.
Israel is blessed and those who pray for israel will be blessed.
JESUS is alive and well and still KING OF ALL.
I am sorry for the innocent ones caught in the middle of the conflict but the truth remains as all will see’God(THE LORD JESUS)takes care of his own.

Israel has a right to defend itself against a constant barrage of rocket attacks.Hamas,Hezbollah,Iran and their ilk do not wish peace but wish to totally annihilate Israel & the Jewish people. For all those who wrongfully side with the Palestinians and Islamic
facists, the day is coming when they will realize how very misguided they are but then there only choice left will be,accept Islam or prepare to die.Awaken from your slumber world. The Muslim world has explicitly
told you just what it agenda is.
