Australian terror man relieved of strict order
Bangladesh News.Net Thursday 20th November, 2008
The Australian lawyer of a convicted supporter of terrorism has said his client can finally move on after the dropping of a control order.
Former Guantanamo Bay inmate, David Hicks, had been living under the control order since being released from an Adelaide prison nearly a year ago.
On Thursday, just before the Australian government decided to lift the order, Mr Hicks released a video stating that any extension of the conditions would be a huge set back to his future.
His lawyer said Mr Hicks had been receiving psychological and medical treatment as a consequence of his seven years of incarceration.
