Tk 6 lakh snatched

Muggers yesterday took away Tk 6 lakh from a businessman who had just withdrawn the amount from a bank at the city's Dhanmondi. A gang of five to six pointed firearms at Asaduzzaman and snatched the money when he was in a food shop on Sat Masjid Road, said police and witnesses. A few minutes before the incident around 11:00am, he took the cash out of a branch of BRAC bank. The gang fled the scene in moments, said Asaduzzaman.
